The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) — the country’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging — is proud to acknowledge the work of 28 outstanding individuals through its prestigious awards program.

The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) — the nation’s largest interdisciplinary organization devoted to the field of aging — has named 60 exemplary professionals as its newest fellows.

Strong family relationships have long been associated with a better sense of well-being and connection. Now a team led by UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers has linked the quality of those relationships with how successfully people — particularly aging African Americans — manage pain. The findings, published in The Journals of Gerontology, Series B: Psychological Sciences and Social Sciences, suggest factors tied to chronic pain that could improve treatment options.

The  Gerontological Society of America (GSA) has received renewed grant support to welcome a 15th class of reporters for the Journalists in Aging Fellows Program. The 2024 funders to date include Silver Century Foundation, The John A. Hartford Foundation, and National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation (NIHCM).
