As the GSA 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting Online approaches, there are three important dates to mark on your calendars.

Wednesday, October 28: Meeting registrants can access the new scholarship being presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting Online using the on-demand content platform. Set time aside between October 28 and November 4 to review the comprehensive collection of new findings and create your personal schedule for the live meeting. In particular, you’ll want to note the date and time of Presenter Discussions that relate to the programming of most interest to you.

Tuesday, November 3: VOTE and encourage your colleagues/students to vote too! The importance of robust research funding has been dramatically showcased over the past eight months. I encourage all members to make their voice heard in support of funding for research in general and aging research in particular. Surveys show that citizens, regardless of party affiliation, support research. Check out Research!America’s national candidate-engagement initiative, Vote Science Strong. Make a plan to vote and ensure your vote gets counted.

Wednesday, November 4: Join the 4,000+ other researchers, educators, and clinicians who are registered for the Annual Scientific Meeting Online when it kicks off at 11:30 a.m. ET with an Opening Plenary Session featuring NIA Director Dr. Richard Hodes and NIA Deputy Director Dr. Marie Bernard. Block off your calendars for Wednesday to Saturday — mainly from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, with a few exceptions — to ensure you don’t miss live symposia, Presenter Discussions, and networking events throughout the meeting.
