The National Advisory Council on Aging (NACA) convenes three times annually. NACA plays many roles. It reviews new proposed concept clearances, reviews applications for grants and cooperative agreements for research and training, and recommends approval of applications for projects that show promise, along with other duties. The next meeting is January 21 and 22.

In addition to the activities already noted, the meeting includes an update on recent National Institute on Aging (NIA) activities from NIA Director Richard Hodes, PhD, and four presentations (one from each of the four NIA divisions) of some of the most exciting emerging research.

Members of the public are welcome to join the open portion of the meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, January 22, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET. You may attend in person or join via the live videocast.
